intermission

So I got back from Scotland nearly two weeks ago, after resting my eyes and mind in the beautiful landscapes and amidst the buzz on the streets of Edinburgh, hoping for a rather quiet month of August during which I could catch up with reading and writing and taking pictures. As it turns out, I’ve been so busy this month that I’ve barely noticed it’s summer, and as always the blog gets left behind until I catch up.

You may have noticed (hopefully – it is summer, after all) that I’m writing this in English. I decided to switch from Portuguese during the week I was traveling. I was thinking of how wonderful it was to be in a place that was foreign, and yet being able to understand everything that was going on around me. I may love my language (to be honest, I love a lot of languages) but there’s no denying you can’t beat English as far as understandability is concerned.

I’ll be writing about my travels once I organize all the photos and videos I took. Also, expect a variety of other topics like food, art, museums and of course, photography. Stay tuned!
